A charm to attract money
You need:
a green candle;
a small square of green cloth;
gold-coloured thread;
a small magnet;
a pinch of dried basil;
a pinch of dried cinnamon;
a pinch of dried peppermint;
a sprinkling of gold glitter;
a sprinkling of iron filings;

Put all the herbs, glitter, iron filings and the magnet together on the cloth and, using the gold-coloured thread, sew it all into a small pouch. While you are stitching, chant the name “Parasiel” with each stitch. That is the name of the angel of wealth.

When finished, light the green candle, hold the pouch in your hands in front of it and recite: Great and generous angel Parasiel, be you before me, be you behind me, be you to the left of me, be you to the right of me. Bless and cleanse this charm made in your honour and let it be for me a magnet for abundance. By your name, so mote it be.

Carry the charm on you from then on.

New Year Spell

On New Year’s Eve, collect a handful of coins. At midnight, take the coins and outside outside the door of your house; on the final stroke of the clock, throw the coins over the threshold into your house. This is said to ensure joy and wealth for all in the house for the coming year.

You will need:
a purple candle;
three sweets wrapped in gold foil;
a small plate.

This spell should be performed on a Thursday when the moon is waxing (i.e. between New and Full). When you have assembled everything, light the candle and say: Lady Luck, Goddess of Fortune, I humbly ask for your blessing tonight. Carefully unwrap the sweets, flatten out the foil and then form the foils into three thimble-sized cups or bowls. Place the cups upright on the plate (use a little Blu-tack if needed). Hold your right hand above the cups and chant three times: Turn wheel turn. Burn flame burn. Begone bad luck. Fortunes turn. Then pass each sweet across the candle flame and eat it.

That is the end of the spell. Allow the candle to burn down (make sure it is in a safe place and standing on a non-flammable surface) and put the cups away in a safe place. When your fortunes start improving take them out, wrap them around three more sweets and give them away to somebody else in need of luck.
